Presidents Message
Dear Fellow Members,
As usual,
the club has been very busy during the last several months. We have
hosted the Tea Party Picnic, the NAR&GC annual family day picnic, the 4th
steak feed of the year, and the second money bonanza of the year. All
events were a huge success, and we could not have done it without all of
the volunteers who contributed their time and efforts to these events.
A special “shout out” goes to the Ladies Auxiliary for their time and
efforts in hosting “Basket Bingo”, and both the “Kid’s and Adult
Halloween Parties”. The Junior Hunter Field Day Event we hosted for the
Maryland Department of Natural Resources Wildlife & Heritage Service was
again a huge success. 56 Juniors participated in the day’s activities,
and fun was had by all. Another good write-up (and free advertising for
the club) in the paper. Thanks to all of the volunteers who contributed
their time and efforts. If you get a chance, stop down to the
Pistol/Rifle ranges. The berms look amazing. A special “shout out”
goes to Kelly Weagley and a few friends for all of their hard work on
this project. Also, now that the lawn tractor/mowers have been
winterized, a special “shout out” goes to Bob Seward and Bob Stoner for
their untiring dedication and devotion in ensuring that the club grounds
were always mowed and looking great. Something that we take for
granted.
The club
continues to provide members with many events to enjoy. Please mark
your calendars for upcoming events which include the Turkey/Pie and the
Ham/Pie Giveaways, the Kid’s and Adult Christmas parties, and Egg Nog
Sunday, all hosted by the Ladies Auxiliary. Thanks to the Ladies.
Also, the STILL TARGET season has begun for the 2015/2016 season, and we
are off to a fantastic start. In addition, the Anne Aikers charity
event is fast approaching. “Please
come out and support your club”.
My, how
time flies. The holiday season will be here before you know it, and we
will all be dealing with the hustle and bustle that this time of year
brings. It is a wonderful time of year, celebrating Thanksgiving,
Christmas, and the New Year with family, friends, and loved ones.
During this very busy time of year, please take the time to continue to
“come
out and support your club”.
In closing,
let me say that I and the rest of the Board of Directors wish all of you
a happy, and enjoyable holiday season, but above all, a safe holiday
season.
